The Center for Research in Architecture, Urbanism and Design (CIAUD), Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, in conjunction with the Center for the Humanities (CHAM), Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, NOVA University of Lisbon and the Faculty of Architecture - University of Porto (FA-UP), invite researchers from different scientific fields and cultures to gather at Faculty of Architecture - University of Porto (FA-UP), October 04th to 06th, 2021, at the International and Multidisciplinary Congress PHI 2021, under the theme “CREATING THROUGH MIND AND EMOTIONS.”
The Congress aims to bring together researchers from all scientific fields to explore and discuss CREATING THROUGH MIND AND EMOTIONS concepts. The two concepts are in constant dialectic and impact on every area of human activities. The fluid dynamics that CREATING THROUGH MIND AND EMOTIONS establish determine the form and timing of transformations in how we perceive the world, one another, and ourselves. The balance and unbalance they originate, the debate of ideas they give rise to are essential to the evolution of knowledge, societies, and cultures. In a way, the two concepts may reveal potential future or become the origin of conflicts, embryos of revolutions.
The organizers of PHI 2021 thus launch a challenge to the scientific community, from all research fields, to engage actively in a multidisciplinary discussion with the concepts “CREATING THROUGH MIND AND EMOTIONS” as core points.
Only full original articles, written in English (American spelling), will be accepted. All submitted papers MUST contain a reflection on one or both concepts listed above. Articles cannot have been submitted at similar conferences. Reproductions of previously published texts will be rejected.
All articles will be subjected to double-blind peer review and an assessment of linguistic adequacy, performed by language specialists and in a “blind” system. Articles accepted after the triple evaluation will be included in an e-book. The publication will be part of the PHI Series (https://www.crcpress.com/PHI/book-series/PHI), published in Open Access (CC BY 4.0)
