Professor of History and Theory of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland. From 2005-2011 - Vice Dean of the Faculty.
Professional interests: history of architecture, theory of architecture and urbanism and humanistic approach to environmental issues in the designing process.
The author of monographies: Miejsce: Tożsamość i Zmiana (Place: Identity and Change) WPSl, Gliwice, 2010, Ład i chaos w przestrzeni miasta (Order and Chaos in the Town Space) doctoral dissertation,1996. The editor of 6 books, author of 70 articles in scientific journals.
