Carlos BALSAS
Carlos Balsas is an assistant professor in the Department of Geography & Planning at the University at Albany. He is an urban and regional planner, who received his training in Europe and the US. Carlos has graduate degrees (MRP and PhD) in Regional Planning from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, as well as an undergraduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Aveiro in Portugal. He worked as a transportation planner in California and Massachusetts. His main research interests are urban revitalization and resilience, urban governance, non-motorized transportation planning, mega-event development, city and culture, and international planning.
